TESC's extensive use of interdiciplinary education and group projects gives me an edge. I am quickly able to take "static" knowledge and apply it to life. TESC's teaching philosophy has inspired me to really apply "textbook" anatomy to Pilates and Yoga as well as to push the boundaries that separate the two disciplines.
I am also looking at how to redefine/reinterpret the culture of Pilates from a mainly european-american practice to one that invites and inspires people of all ethnic backgrounds.
Areas of academic focus at TESC include:

- English Language and American Literature.

Personal Teaching Philosophy
My bodywork philosophy centers around a solution oriented approach. If my client tells me that they have "very weak abdominals", during our session I may ask them to visualize what the exercise would be like if their abdominals were strong and capable. The difference is AMAZING!

What is West Coast Pilates?
West Coast Pilates is a full-body system of specific sequenced exercises performed on the mat and specifically designed equipment. The method is centered around the concepts of awareness, balance, breath, centering, concentration, control, flowing movement, and precision while working from a neutral spine. The principle of Pilates is to uniformly develop the body and mind.
